Doug's Take

The 1M is one of BMW M's most desirable models – it's nimble, quick, a ton of fun to drive, AND exceptionally rare here in the United States, as it had a short production run that lasted just one model year. This example ticks a lot of the right boxes – it's unmodified (which is relatively difficult to find in the 1M world!), it touts a clean, accident-free Carfax report for peace of mind, and it boasts reasonably low mileage. I love the 1M, I still think it's one of the best BMWs of all time – and I'm already jealous of the next owner.

Highlights

THIS... is a 2011 BMW 1M Coupe, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with a black interior.

• The odometer on this 1M indicates roughly 31,200 miles.
• The attached Carfax history report has multiple gaps yet lists no accidents or mileage discrepancies for the given time period. It also shows this is a two-owner car that was California-owned until 2021.
• A build sheet is provided in the photo gallery, and a partial list of notable equipment includes 19-inch "Style 359" wheels, adaptive xenon headlights, power-adjustable and heated front sport seats, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, a BMW Professional navigation system, Comfort Access keyless entry, and rear parking sensors. The seller reports no modifications.
• The M version of BMW's 1 Series coupe, called "E82" internally, was intended to be a limited-production model but it proved popular enough to warrant tripling the original production quota to just over 6,300 units. Its turbocharged engine was a polarizing departure from previous M cars, as was its funky styling — and yet, the 1M has gained a substantial and loyal following since production ended in 2012.
• Power comes from an "N54" 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6, rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
